Easter Wreath Materials

2 rolls of decorative mesh
Foam wreath form
Tissue paper, either white or a color that matches the decorative mesh
Stapler
Needle and thread
Needle nose pliers (optional)
2 straight pins (optional)
Glue (I used school glue)
Stuffed animal bunny
Pom poms
Ribbon for hanging

I bought the decorative mesh, the wreath form, the bunny, and the pom poms at Dollar Tree. The rest I already had at my house.

Easter Wreath Instructions

1. If your wreath form is green like mine was, you’ll want to cover it. I went for the quickest, cheapest option since it wasn’t going to show. Wrap tissue paper around it, and staple it in place. I ran out of tissue paper at the end and just used some white paper towels!

2. I’ve never worked with decorative mesh before, so I was relieved to find that it’s really easy to deal with. Start by securing the end to the wreath – just staple it on. Then, twist the roll while you wrap the mesh around and around the wreath. The twisting helps give it fullness, as does bunching it up. Staple a bit as you go (they pull out easily if you mess up).

3. When you’re satisfied with the mesh, it’s time to attach the Easter Bunny. I sewed mine on. I used the longest needle I had, and needle nose pliers to grab it and pull it through the foam. You probably could just run the thread through the stuffed animal and then tie it to the wreath, but sewing all the way through the wreath is a bit more secure. If you’re allergic to sewing, hot glue might work too.
4. Finally, pin on the ribbon to hang it by, and glue on the pom poms. This is the part that your child can help with. I figured out the pattern I wanted first. Then Isabella glued them on.
