Printable Dinosaur Hat with Facts for Little Learners

Little kids are like sponges sometimes, soaking up facts about new things they’re interested in. There’s nothing cuter than a 4- or 5-year-old dinosaur expert! Plus, being an “expert” gives children oral language practice.
I hope this free printable dinosaur hat helps provide scaffolding (and fun!) for all your students to become little dino experts.
Printable Dinosaur Hat with Fun Facts
This hat feature six kid-friendly facts about dinosaurs:
- Dinosaurs hatched from eggs.
- We learn about dinos by digging up fossils.
- Triceratops ate plants. They had 3 horns and a neck frill.
- T. Rex was a big, smart meat-eater with short arms.
- Brachiosaurus was as tall as 2 giraffes!
- Dinosaurs are reptiles.

Skills Covered
Depending on how you present this activity, you can cover the following skills:
- Fine motor – color, cut, and glue
- Science – describe characteristics of animals and learn about life cycles
- Language – use new vocabulary, use language to convey information and answer questions.
What’s Included in the Free Printable
This printable dinosaur hat resource comes in two versions and is 4 pages long:
- Print and go version – all facts are already printed on the hat. You just need to cut it out and tape the two parts together.
- Blank version – children cut out the facts from another page and glue them onto the squares. There is a color version of the fact squares as well.

Preparation & Materials
All you need for this activity are crayons, scissors, and a glue stick.
Your level of preparation will depend on your students’ skills. You may want to cut out the crowns ahead of time for your littlest learners.
