If the kids are bored or acting up while you’re driving around town, you can distract them with one of these games. They’re also good to have in mind on longer road trips.
Another reader favorite was an idea that can help you solve power struggles over clothes. Make a simple weather doll to show your toddler or young preschooler what clothing is appropriate for the weather that day. The post has instructions and a printable template.
The top parenting post on Books and Giggles was a heartfelt one. In The Best Secret Reason to be a Stay-at-Home Mom I wrote about why I chose to leave my profession and be a stay-at-home mom. It resonated with a lot of readers.
Perhaps surprisingly, the top educational activity of the year was ABC Cards: Montessori Inspired Multisensory Learning. I don’t write a lot of Montessori content, but my kids all attended Montessori preschool. This idea was a solution to Liam’s dislike of sandpaper letters.
