All About Me Printable for the Summer Games

Summer Games All About Me worksheets with girl version colored in and layered on top of partly filled in boy version. Worksheets feature Olympic theme graphics.

The Summer Olympics are July 26th – August 11th this year (2024) – right in time for Back to School season! With that in mind, I thought it would be fitting to make a summer games themed All About Me worksheet for you.

All About Me worksheets help you get to know your students and help them get to know each other. Score one for community building!

My hope is that the nod to the Summer Games also makes these feel extra relevant and interesting. For those who may want to learn more about the Olympics, this article covers the basics and can give you some talking points.

Skills Covered

Of course, preschoolers and most kindergartners won’t be able to fill in much of this independently. However, that doesn’t mean they won’t be learning! They’ll be able to practice the following skills:

  • Verbal expression
  • Name practice (see below)
  • Goal setting
  • Coloring

Name Practice

You can differentiate this worksheet based on each student’s skill level. Children can…

  • Write their name independently, or
  • Trace their name that you dot for them, or
  • Point out their name on the page.

What’s Included in the Free Printable

This free All About Me printable includes two nearly identical pages: there’s a boy version and a girl version.

Preparation & Use

This is a no-prep activity! You or an aide can interview students one-on-one and write their responses as they talk to you. For brand new preschoolers this is a chance to introduce the concept of print to them.

For the three more open-ended questions, you may need to give some students prompting or choices. If you think the pictures will distract them, avoid every single kid saying they want to learn how to swim and do gymnastics by talking to them before you show them the worksheet.

You could also enlist parents to help fill out the page, either at Meet the Teacher day or as “homework” near the beginning of the school year.
