Snowman Winter Line Tracing
Your students can work on tracing curvy lines with this free printable winter tracing activity.
Sometimes you just want a simple, no-prep activity that keeps your kids busy on a cold winter day. Other times you have specific fine motor skill goals that you need your students to work on.
These free printable winter line tracing activity sheets can do both!
Winter Line Tracing Printable
I created this cute line tracing printable last year as a newsletter freebie This year I decided it deserved a blog post too.
Skills Covered
- fine motor skills
- left to right directionality
What’s Included in the Free Printable
I made a black & white version as well as the colored one pictured here. That way if you are low on colored ink, or if you want students to color the pages, you have the option. So the pdf file includes the following:
- 6 color tracing strips (3 pages)
- 6 black & white tracing strips (3 pages)
Preparation & Materials
You just need a writing instrument to trace with. If you want kids to use a dry erase marker, plan to slip the sheets into a dry erase pocket.
You may want to cut the pages in half along the horizontal line, or you can leave them whole.
How to Play
Students will trace each line from the school bus to the school. They can use a different color for each line, or even switch colors partway across to keep it interesting.
When they have finished tracing all their cards, they should erase them. (This is why I love dry erase pockets so much – they are easy to erase!)
